Rapid skin cell accumulation in psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory disease, causes red, scaly areas that may be unpleasant and uncomfortable. A rapid overproduction of skin cells results in the formation of thick, red, scaly patches on the skin's surface, which is the physical manifestation of psoriasis. In extreme situations, these plaques may break and bleed, in addition to being uncomfortable and irritating. All parts of the body may be affected by psoriasis; however, it often affects the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back. Psoriasis may affect nail health, leading to pitting, discoloration, and detachment from the nail bed, in addition to the obvious changes in the skin. Psoriatic arthritis, a condition that affects the joints and connective tissues, may also cause joint discomfort and inflammation in some circumstances. Although the physical manifestations of psoriasis are not communicable, their apparent form may negatively affect one's quality of life and self-esteem. For Additional information Visit: Medzsquare
