Can anyone advise how I can get a job at a Canadian window manufacturing company if I only have basic tooling skills? How willing are these companies to train new employees on-site and what skills are most in demand? Is it important to have experience working on production lines or are they looking for people with more specialized skills? I would appreciate advice on how best to prepare for an interview and what to expect when starting out.

If you have at least basic tool skills, many companies are willing to train on the spot. I found my job through jobssite and there were vacancies where no experience was required. Remember that everything can be taught if you have the desire. It is important to show a willingness to learn new things and show an interest in working on a production line. And you can look for Window Manufacturer Jobs in Toronto here on https://jobssite.ca/jobs/window-manufacturer/. I am sure you will find the perfect job for you.

Is it really possible to retrain for a new specialty now? I graduated from university not long ago, but I realize that what I chose doesn’t suit me at all, and I don’t want to work in that field.

Sure, why not? There are all the conditions for both studying and working right now. If you have the desire, everything else is already available. I also don’t work in my first field of education. I didn’t like it. I quickly took courses after university, got a new specialty, and found work that I enjoy. Speaking of job searching, I highly recommend Layboard as a platform to look for vacancies and also to apply now for a new job. It’s convenient that you can immediately communicate directly with the employer to discuss all the important details and nuances.
